The Art to Heart Youth Summer Socials are a safe and inspiring space where young people use creative expression—like painting, drawing, journaling & mindfulness activities—to process emotions, build confidence, and explore emotional intelligence. Led by Danesha Ward, licensed mental health counselor & creative wellness innovator, this workshop helps empower your child with the tools they need for resilience, productivity, and creating their dream identity.

Danesha Ward is the owner of Dream Identity Counseling, who served as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified in Family Trauma Professional and founder of Dream Identity Counseling, located in Tampa Florida, her passion is to serve Healthcare workers, minorities, the youth of our community and their families as they learn how to break generational cycles, remove unhealthy norms, and take advantage of the resources and support that can be given to us in efforts to follow our dreams despite our past and current experiences. By integrating expressive arts with evidence-based practices, she provides a creative and engaging approach to mental wellness that resonates with youth and their unique struggles. Her mission is to help people move from surviving to thriving by giving them the tools to build their Dream Identity — the healthiest, most aligned version of themselves by using personal and practical tools for their journey of growth.

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting Started
This program is designed to empower youth through creative expression and artistic and mindfulness activities. Participants explore their creativity, build confidence, and connect with others in a supportive environment.
There are two groups:
“Young Dreamer Group” are for youth ages 7-12
“Teen Dreamer Group” are for youth ages 13-18
*No prior artistic experience is necessary—just a willingness to express and create.
Activities may include: Visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpture), Creative writing (poetry, storytelling, journaling), Mindfulness, and self-expression exercises. (music, physical creativity, muscle relaxation)
There is a $40.00 fee per child each week or a $340 package rate for the full summer.

Just themselves! All materials and supplies are provided. Comfortable clothing is recommended for movement-based activities.

We use the arts as a tool for self-expression, reflection to facilitate emotional growth within the areas of emotional intelligence, self-esteem, communication, social skills and coping skills to better manage stress, anxiety and depression.
While the program is youth-focused, we keep parents/guardians informed with regular updates.
